Link+ for Regional Campuses

This guide is for users located at a regional campus. Main campus users should use another guide.

Link+ is a borrowing service that allows us access to over 60 public and university libraries across California. Link+ allows you to borrow books and multimedia materials for 21 days, with one renewal for an additional 21 days. Regional campus library users should use Link+ to request delivery of all books or media, whether or not Hiebert Library has a copy available.

To access Link+, start by searching in the Hiebert Library discovery service. Next, click on Linkplus in the right column of the search results page (or at the top of your screen if using a smart phone or other small screen).

This will take you to the Link+ discovery page with the same search repeated there. When you find an item that you would like to request, resist the temptation to simply click Request it, Instead, click on the title of the desired item and then scroll down to the list of locations that have the item. Make sure that at least one of those locations shows that the item is available. If so, you're ready to click Request it.

You will then be prompted to select your home library. Scroll down to “Fresno Pacific Univ” and click Submit.

You will then be prompted to enter your name and type in the first 7 digits of your Student ID number. For pick up Location, select the regional campus that you would like your material sent to. That's all you need to do. The Link+ computers will take it from there.

Link+ items typically take 3-4 working days to arrive at Hiebert Library, though it will sometimes take longer. Once the requested item arrives at Hiebert Library, our staff will check it out to you and mail it the requested regional campus. Because of this extra mailing step, regional campus users will need to add several extra days for delivery to their location. North Fresno campus users might wish to have their items sent to the main library and pick them up there.

Once you've checked out the item, you may keep it for 21 days with the option of renewing it for 21 more days. When finished with it, return the item to the regional campus where you originally picked it up. We strongly recommend calling the main library (559-453-2225) to let us know that the item has been returned.
