Library Services During COVID-19

Hiebert Library is open Monday-Friday 9am-4:45pm at this time.

Access to the FPU campus is limited to a gate on Hamilton Avenue behind the Steinert Campus Center. Only employees and students will be allowed to enter; there is no campus access for the general public at this time. In order to enter, you will be required to complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire in the my.fpu.edu app.

While the library is open, we encourage users to consider whether they truly need to use resources in the building. All electronic resources (e-books, online journal subscriptions, and academic databases) remain fully functional during this time. This represents the vast majority of the library’s resources, so it is possible to perform most research tasks without actually entering building.

Books may still be checked out from the main library and the Mennonite Library. Archival research is not allowed at this time, though the archivist may be able to provide a little amount of support in accessing specific records.

Link+ is available, though not all member libraries are participating yet. ArticleReach and traditional inter-library loan services are still functioning, though also at a level somewhat lower than normal.

Computers and wifi access are available in the library.

If you must come to the library, please be sure to practice all recommended forms of social distancing.
